sheer boredom

Posted by dejibu in haha, videos

Because the dev people and I were having a boredom fit last friday, we decided to look up some hilarious vids on the web. Youtube’s not the only video resource out there, and Robbie’s managed to dig up some hilarious stuff.

G.I. Joe at the Carnival - of which the rest of the parodies is here

how sinful are you?

Posted by dejibu in nyar!!

I did this maybe half a year ago.

Your Deadly Sins
Wrath: 80%
Sloth: 60%
Envy: 40%
Gluttony: 20%
Greed: 20%
Lust: 0%
Pride: 0%
Chance You’ll Go to Hell: 31%
You will die, but first you will turn into an evil robot.
How Sinful Are You?

And I did the test again, and this is what I got.

Your Deadly Sins

Wrath: 40%
Envy: 20%
Lust: 20%
Pride: 20%
Sloth: 20%
Gluttony: 0%
Greed: 0%
Chance You’ll Go to Hell: 17%
You will die, after conquering the world as an evil dictator.
How Sinful Are You?

Geez, I’ve gotten so boring after a few months. I guess the anger management classes are working. (I kid, I kid).

cutie kid

Posted by dejibu in videos

I think my Filipino has deteriorated to the point Quy had to tell me that this kid was singing a Filipino song. I couldn’t discern the words she was singing. I do agree with Quy that this kid is just adorable. Even delectable. Makes me want to bite those cheeks. Makes Quy want to kidnap the kid.

What was he going to do once he kidnapped the kid, I asked. Quy remarked he didn’t think that far ahead.

Right..

Lillian should get him a pet. No tamagotchis please.

heavy weather

Posted by dejibu in nyar!!

Nothing beats an up-beat depressing song.

This song has been playing over and over in my head for the last 3 days. Not that I’m depressed or anything these days. I guess it stems from a conversation Robbie and I had about new music. I read about Jarvis Cocker from metacritic so I gave his album a spin. Not bad from the former Plush front man.

You can pick up the song from my depressing playlist from multiply.

Heavy Weather - Jarvis Cocker

This morning it was summer
By noon a cold front building
Where did you go?
Where did you go?

I got to find some shelter
‘Cos any minute now
it’s gonna blow
It’s gonna blow

But I don’t mind the rain
So strike me once again:
I’ve got nothing to lose

And it looks like we are in for stormy weather
with death and destruction coming through
Oh, look out there she blows
Now everybody knows:
Stormy weather always makes me think of you

And watch out ‘cos the storm is coming through

But you’re so still and silent
Whilst everything’s dissolving
Melting away, melting away

But I don’t mind the rain
So strike me once again
I got nothing to lose

Yeah, it looks like we are in for stormy weather
with death and destruction coming through
Oh, look out there she blows
Now everybody knows:
Stormy weather always makes me think of you

Oh and it looks like we are in for stormy weather
with death and destruction coming through
Oh, look out there she blows
Now everybody knows:
Stormy weather always makes me think of you

And watch out ‘cos this storm is coming through
Yeah, watch out ‘cos the storm is coming through

what do geeks do when they are bored?

They impersonate each other on msn.

Just the thought of confusing our boss sends us to giggles. Hah, I’m laughing just thinking about it.

randomness

Posted by dejibu in nyar!!

I was reading through the latest iPhone articles when I saw this, which read..

Introducing the iPhone Shuffle. Randomize your calls.

I dunno bout you, but I found that funny.

Here are some other interesting reads I’ve had for the past week..
- php namespace petition - geeks with too much free time on their hands
- get off wipes - something quy found really funny despite lack of creativity in naming conventions
- Steve Job’s keynote from Macworld 2007
- 5 reasons why the iPhone sucks - somebody has to blast the iPhone, right?
- ajax spinners - fool yourself into believing you have a mac
- stackable usb keys - because one is not enough
- stainless toshiba tvs - something Alan would love
- no underdressed booth babes but you can make them do provocative poses - not work safe
- nec laptop for spy missions - you never know when you might need one
- rimba electrosex power box - painfully powerful - work safe
- hello kitty gallery - asian goodness at the CES
- ballpoint chandelier - this is uber cool recycling
- coffee pot alarm clock - this is ingenious! i love this thing!

gears of war

Posted by dejibu in nyar!!

Belle and I finished Gears of War two days ago on casual. From today and onwards, we’re going to be playing on hardcore.

I love the theme song of this game, which is Gary Jules’ cover of Tears for Fears’ Mad World. Here’s the original music video and GoW trailer. You can download the song from multiply.

the willies

Posted by dejibu in nyar!!

Today was the first day of the winter semester. I went to my ITM 350 aka The Concepts of e-Business class. I was mentally prepared for a boring class since it is the first week.

Then I saw the teacher.

Out of boredom, I made these notes about him.

  • Cute in a Tom-Cruise-before-divorcing-Nicole-Kidman way. Gives me the willies. Had to cover mouth to hide the wide smile and secretly wipe the drool. No ring.
  • Graduated in 1991, which makes him at least 39 years old but looked under 30. Attributes baby face to night creme.
  • Use of night creme makes me think he’s slightly gay.
  • Taught English in Japan for 5 years after graduating (ooohhhh). Spent a year travelling.
  • Talks a lot. Likes an engaged audience. Stickler for rules and policies. Weird interests.
  • Lives a short walk off campus. Only thing close to Ryerson is the Village.
  • Gayness went up a few notches with the possibility he lives in the Village.
  • Very anal. Like Louie. Probably worse.
  • Slightly pitchy voice. Noticed the green shirt with matching tie.
  • What straight man wears light green in winter? Gayness going a few more notches.
  • Brushes his hair in a certain way.
  • Oozing with enthusiasm. Reminds me of Kayne Gillaspie from Project Runway.
  • Hates the word ASAP.
  • Can be quoted in saying “Totally!“, “you are always interconnected.. ALL THE TIME!“, and “I actually turn my cellfone off. NOOOOO!! Really!
  • He’s sooo gay.

Now I’m wondering if taking a different class would be better. I don’t forsee this class being that hard but it does seem a lot of work, and based on the ratings on ratemyprofessor.com, this teacher gives out tricky exams. Maybe I should just take an ERP class?

It’s nice to have a class with some eye candy but I don’t think that’ll enough to stave off my boredom and restlessness. And when I get restless, I get restless. I pity the fool who shall be in my company during such a moment.

During the break, Louie called complaining about his incomprehensible Indian teacher for Economics. Bored as I am, I spoke to her in hushed tones and rushed out just as class was about to restart. I’d rather just go home than stay another minute in that class. That’s enough butterflies for the day, thank you very much.

3 classes, 4 days left in this week. The week rolls by so slowly during mondays. Sigh.
